Prokopi Evia
One of our picturesque villages, Prokopi Evia, is located in the valley formed by the Keryas River, a charming village just 50 minutes from Nea Artaki.
The entire area surrounding Prokopi is one of the most beautiful, not only on the island of Evia, but perhaps in all of Greece. Situated along the route of all visitors traveling to and from Northern Evia, it is the ideal stop on their journey, combining it with a pilgrimage to the reliquary of Saint John the Russian.
Monastery of Saint David
Next, just 44 km from Prokopi, Evia, you can visit the Monastery of Saint David, which is located between the mountains “Kavalaris” and “Xiro Nero” opposite the village of Drymonas and above the village of Kalamoudi and is dedicated to the Transfiguration of the Savior.
The fragrant and miraculous relics of Saint David the Elder, as well as the Saint’s censer and stole of Russian origin, are kept in the monastery church. A handwritten loan document of Angelis Govias is also preserved, in which he borrowed 1000 grossia for the needs of the struggle.
Edipsos
Just a 50-minute drive from the Monastery of Saint David lies a paradise of healing springs and natural beauty.
